I've now moved my filmmaking blog to http://thilakanathanstudios.blogspot.com. Doesn't mean this blog is dead, no way, lol! I will still be posting stuff here, but mostly about Thilakanathan Studios-only related projects. I may from time to time re-post some of my articles I found interesting from Blogger here (if that's even legal?!) but I do aim to keep this blog purely non-technical and more entertainment-like.
The filmmaking blog is made to help inspire people to become an animated filmmaker. I aim to share tips/tricks and articles and how-tos which will hopefully be big enough one day to be a central learning resource for newer animated/cartoon filmmakers who have never been to animation school. I do aim to post VERY regularly (at least initially) as I want to jot down alot of the stuff that I've learned.
I do intend to use this blog like a sort of process journal of my own learning experience as well. Whatever I learn, I can write a blog post on it and later use it as a reference, which will not only benefit me when making films, but hopefully others too. That being said, I'm not an expert in animation or filmmaking as I myself, have never been to film or animation school. I'm purely self-taught and have come to a point where I feel it's a bit selfish if I keep all that knowledge to myself. After all, I've learned alot about animation from people who shared their technique with me, so I figured I should do the same as well..
The blog is fairly new as well as my own experience with blogging. Even though I've blogged about my process of making an animated film, I've never written proper articles, how-tos and that kind of stuff. I am experimenting a bit and don't want to focus solely on film-making. I'm new to the world of blogging as well, so if there's any feedback you can give me regarding my posts, I'll be very open to hear it! Also, any feedback regarding the website layout would be quite helpful too!
